Small Animal, Equine
Dr. Kelly was born in Florida but grew up in Cypress, Texas. In Cypress she was active in both 4-H and FFA, showing horses and lambs.
Dr. Kelly graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing and management. She received her DVM from Texas A&M in 1994, graduating summa cum laude.
Dr. Kelly has a wonderful husband (Stewart), two darling children (Ragan and Jackson), and a stepson (Ryan) attending Texas Tech. She enjoys riding horses (endurance riding), reading and running/triathlon. Dr. Kelly has completed several marathons and an Ironman distance triathlon.
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Garretson attended college at Grayson County College in Denison, Texas, then East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas (now Texas A&M University at Commerce). Dr. Garretson graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2000. Dr. Garretson worked in Dallas for 5 years before moving to the Waco area.
Dr. Garretson and her husband, Stephen, have 3 very busy, very beautiful sons, Brendan, Ethan and Ryan. Dr. Garretson loves spending time with her family and riding and showing her mammoth donkey, Gambler. Dr. Garretson also teaches at McLennan Community College's Veterinary Technology Program.
Dr. Garretson sees dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, birds, rodents, rabbits, as well as marsupials. Although Dr. Garretson enjoys all animals, some of her favorite animals include donkeys and mules, frogs and toads, and bats.
Clinic Manager/Technician
Vicky has worked at Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic since 2008 but grew up in England and studied law and business before moving to the U.S. However her love of animals took her into working with many species, from mice to Elephants and everything in between. In her spare time she loves to ride her horses and have fun with her family.
Head Attending Technician VT, CVA
Johnette has been employed by Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic since 1996. She is well versed in the small animal and equine side of the practice. In her spare time she enjoys her granddaughter Madilyn, her dogs, and riding her horses.
Registered Veterinary Technician
April has worked at Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic since 2005. She is a registered Veterinary Technician and has a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University in Piano Performance with a minor in Chemistry. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, playing the piano and spending time with her family and her 2 German Shepherds.
Reception/Front Office
Kris came to Texas from Colorado and works on the family ranch. She loves her horses, cats and dogs and spending most of her spare time on horseback, preparing for trail competitions. She has been a substitute teacher at China Spring High School for the past 7 years, where she teaches Spanish.
Kennel Technician
Mariah has worked at Ramsgate Veterinary since 2009. She is studying in the Veterinarian Technician program at Mclennan Community College. Her love for animals ranges from horses to opossums. She wishes to go further into the large animal profession.
Kennel Technician
Amy has worked at Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic since 2010. She is currently attending Texas State Technical College for Advertising Design and Print. She loves animals, especially her dog, Trooper, and her two cats, Princess and Chloe.
Groomer
Britt has been grooming for over 10 years. She loves to spend her time with her children, family and her wonderful dogs and cat. Britt also takes care of all the horses here boarding at Ramsgate.
